Description

The Clock by Alix de Bretagne is probably one of the most important piece of art in his collection thus far. The object itself turns into a means to see duality in a philosophical sense – in this case, philosophy incarnating an everyday object. With one side telling the minute and the other side telling the hour, it brings to life the idea of the relationship between background and form.

“Front goes with back, form goes with background – this fascinates me. At a basic level, the good conceptual artist is a philosopher; in this way, he becomes god through manifesting not just art but certain universal truths that some may get and some may not” Alix de Bretagne, 2019
